Highly Interactive Augmented Reality System (HIARS)
In a first
approach, an augmented reality environment can be simple, showing a real scene
with virtual objects and annotations placed on it.
However, an
augmented reality environment can be much more than the augmentation of the
real world with simple virtual objects placed inside it. This mixed world can
have: interactive objects, which change in certain situations; intelligent
objects, which assume behavior dependent on the context; visible or invisible
objects, which vanish or appear under certain circumstances, etc.
Moreover, the layout
of the augmented reality environment can be modified by the user through the
creation, changing and deletion of elements, such as spatial positions, virtual
objects, behavior, visual and audible cues, etc.
This type of augmented reality environment can be built by a Highly Interactive Augmented Reality System (HIARS), which will be released for download here in the next weeks.
