Tereza G. Kirner is an Associate Professor of the Graduate Program in Computer Science at the Methodist University of Piracicaba, São Paulo, Brazil.
She earned a M.S. in the Information Systems area from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro(UFRJ, 1983), and a Ph.D. in the Software Engineering area from the University of São Paulo (USP, 1990), both in Brazil. From 1993 to 1995, she was a Visiting Researcher at the Center for Systems & Software Engineering of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (CSSE/UCCS), United States. In 1997, she was a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE – FhG), in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Her main research interests are: software engineering, including requirements engineering and software quality; information systems, including critical success factors in software systems; and system and software applications, including real-time systems and virtual reality environments.
She has participated from several research projects, supported by Brazilian and International agencies, and served in several conference committees, in the software engineering and virtual reality areas.
Her publications include around 80 full refereed papers in Brazilian and international conferences and in journals, as well as some book chapters.
